Woman journaling peacefully in morning light

The Program

Structure, Support, and the Space to Heal

Our program is designed to give women the stability they need to focus on recovery — with clear expectations, daily rhythms, and a community that shows up.

What Life at Second Story Looks Like

Second Story is a structured sober living environment, not a treatment program. A 12-step program is the foundation of recovery here — residents must be actively working a 12-step program of their choice, working the steps with a sponsor. Therapy, outpatient, and other recovery supports are welcome as supplemental, but a 12-step program is required. We provide the home, the community, and the accountability. You bring the commitment.

House Expectations

Program Requirements

12-Step Program (Required)

All residents must be actively participating in a 12-step program of their choice, working the steps with a sponsor. This is the foundation of recovery at Second Story. Therapy, outpatient, and other supports are encouraged as supplemental — they do not replace the 12-step requirement.

Employment or School

Residents are expected to be employed, actively seeking employment, or enrolled in school or a vocational program within 30 days of move-in.

House Meetings

Weekly house meetings are required for all residents. These are a cornerstone of our community and a space for connection, accountability, and support.

Chores & Shared Responsibility

Every resident contributes to maintaining the home. Chore schedules are shared and rotated to build responsibility and respect for communal living.

Curfew & Guest Policy

Curfews and guest policies are in place to protect the safety and peace of all residents. Details are provided upon application.

Zero Tolerance

There is a strict zero-tolerance policy for alcohol, drugs, and any substances on the premises. The safety of every resident depends on this commitment.

Daily Rhythm

A Day in the Life

Life at Second Story is intentional. Mornings begin with quiet time and personal routines. Days are filled with work, school, meetings, and recovery activities. Evenings bring the house together — shared meals, house meetings, and the kind of honest conversation that builds real community. Weekends offer time for self-care, service, and connection.
